The brief
In 2005 H&M had the vision to create a magazine that would transport H&M's unique brand message to a worldwide audience. USA, UK and the European countries France, Germany, Italy and Denmark were the first steps - only to be followed by Spain, Poland, Austria and global players such as China. The latest trends should be mixed with interesting lifestyle news from the many countries H&M is based in.
The challenge
The huge appeal of any H&M store is that everybody is welcome. The aim of H&M Magazine was always just that: to create a friendly, consumer oriented and above all accessible, yet stylish atmosphere plus offer an exclusive preview of each season's biggest trends. However, to create a uniform brand language in so many countries isn't easy. Our in-depth market fashion research and experienced writers were able to transport the great H&M shopping experience to everybody's coffee table!
The outcome
Adaptation work was completed in just five days for the 45 minute script. Local clients were also able to discuss copy changes directly with our in-market copywriters.
Today, H&M Magazine has grown from being published twice a year in 6 markets to being published four times a year in USA, UK, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Poland, Denmark, Belgium and China - and many more to follow!
